Patient Testimonials
We feel fortunate to have received reflections from our patients about how Dr. Bass and FEMCARE OB/GYN has helped them. Here are some of our favorites:
“Dr. Bass made my first GYN visit a breeze. He didn't make me feel that my questions were dumb and even answered my email from college.” - A.S.
“Your kindness, humor and expertise made the difference in my pregnancy. I am very grateful that you are my doctor.” - M.T.
“No one wants to have surgery, but your patience, counseling, and phone call the night before my operation put me at ease. Thanks, it was the best decision I ever made!” - C.W.
“I was fortunate to be introduced to Dr. Robert Bass in 2003. I had recently lost a baby full-term due to Group B Strep and was desperately seeking a physician who understood my loss and need for specialized care during future pregnancies. Dr. Bass took time during the interview process to assure me and my husband that he would be the best person to handle my fragile state and do everything possible to provide us with successful births in the future. Thanks to his incredible expertise, kindness, and commitment to his patients, I now celebrate the life of two beautiful children, Jacob and Sophia. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Bass and consider him to be Broward babies’ finest physician.” - Katherine D.
“Endometrial ablation was the best medical procedure I have ever undertaken. After having children, my periods became heavier and more intense. Dr. Bass recommended endometrial ablation to alleviate the problem, and fortunately in my case, it was eliminated. The procedure itself was quick and easy with virtually no recovery period. Now 18 months later, I no longer have PMS symptoms and have never had a period again. Endometrial ablation truly changed my life.” -Jennifer C.
“As a working professional and a busy new mom, patience, understanding, and efficiency are essential to what I do, and it is also what I need from my OB/GYN doctor, and I found it all in Dr. Robert Bass. His office and his staff gave me all of that and more with respect and professionalism and continue to take excellent care of me and my family.” - M.C.L.
“When I saw the dual lines appear on the take home pregnancy test, I knew I just signed up for my 2nd cerclage and 3rd C-section. To add icing to the now impending birthday cake, I was laid off (no insurance) and had to find a doctor fast. But not just any doctor -- a good doctor with experience and people skills.
I found everything I was looking for and more when I became Dr Bass' patient. The waiting room was peaceful, the bathrooms (where pregnant women visit frequently) were spa-like, but most importantly the nurses were kind, and the doctor was knowledgeable and never made me feel rushed. The worries I had about my high risk pregnancy were now his, and Ruth in billing guided me thru the process of getting on my husband's insurance. While under the care of Dr. Bass, the months passed quickly and on December 10, 2009 I had a healthy baby boy without any complications.” - Maxine W.
“I don't know how to thank you for saving my wife's life. Your suspicion and early detection seem to be critical in her positive outcome. Many thanks.”- David S.
Regarding Plantation General:
“Now that I have had a little chance to catch my breath, I just wanted to take some time to thank you again. The staff in Labor and Delivery and the staff that took care of us during our stay were AMAZING. I just couldn't come up with a better word.
There wasn't one person who I came in contact with that I could say wasn't great! I always felt like I was the hospital's only patient. Holly and Wendolyn took such great care of me in L&D. That is such a scary and exciting time, but they took care of me from start to "hand off" like I was the only one there. My husband can't stop talking about them.
Having an unplanned C-section was scary, but everyone was so detailed in explaining everything I would feel and everything that was being done, that fear was calmed. (Matt from anesthesiology was especially amazing, along with the gentleman who replaced him in the O.R. (I can't remember his name).
Krissy, Cristina, Shelly, Shari, Wanda and all of the techs took such wonderful care of me. They were patient, helpful, full of information and it was like being taken care of by my best friend. Mackenzie even got a special hat made for her. It was always disappointing when each of their shifts ended, but always wonderful because each new nurse was just as wonderful.
Thank you so much for the room! I felt so much better knowing my husband could spend the night with me and bond with our new daughter.
You should be very proud of your staff. I can 100% understand why Dr. Bass loves Plantation General. I wouldn't have wanted to deliver Mackenzie anywhere else.” - Irene M. and Gary F.
“Plantation General is truly a facility where the patient comes first.” - H.S.
“I couldn't believe that the first day after my son's birth, the hospital CEO came by to visit us and be sure that everything was fine.” - J.C.
